Its not often when a video game gets a brilliant plot worthy of movies. But when it does it can create some beautifull and well remembered moments. Now by Heartbreaking I mean both how sad and depressed a scene made you to how joyous a scene made you. Whatever the moments it has to have done at least one thing, put you on the verge of tears.

For me, it was tough to narrow down. I finally got it between two moments but in the end I went with this moment from Final Fantasy X.



My reason is not only because the music hits the right notes, but because you play through this entire game as a guy who wants to stop this girl from throwing her life away because he loves her, even though doing so will basically mean the end of his own life. Thats the best I can desribe it because its really one of those games you have to play for yourself to understand its impact.

I'm not completely sure whether I want to go with my first idea, which was Xion's death in 358/2 Days, or not... But that's mainly because Roxas ruins the moment by asking who he'll have ice cream with.

There's also Issun's 'goodbye' in Okami and the final part of Sonic and the Black Knight, which I can't seem to find anywhere on YouTube...
