As some of you may have heard there have been big rumours of a Sonic Anniversary game for all platforms to be released next year. Apparently the game will comprise of stages from all past Sonic titles (From Sonic 1 to Sonic Colours) and will have a similar game style to unleashed day stages. Having said that I was wondering (if this rumour is true) which top 15 stages would you like to see in the game. Even if the game is a rumour we have all dreamed of what past elements would make the perfect Sonic stages in 3D

UPDATE It's confirmed as you are all aware. Also my list needs to be re-edited
List them below with their number on your wish list (10 lowest, 1 highest) and with reasons why (if you want to also include images). (If someone has already chosen a stage you like then just give your reasons for that stage.) The reason for your stage choices can be anything you want.
So yeah list and give views
Also if you'd like state which bosses you would like to see return. They don’t have to be related to the zones you have chosen and you can mention as many as you like.
So I think I'll start off with my stages of choice.
STAGES15: Aquatic Ruin Zone (from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 1992)

Sonic games tend to have some ancient ruins in them. Whether it be the Echidna ruins in Sonic Adventure, the first Knuckles and Rogue stage in SA2, the Gaia Temples (granted weren't playable but still ancient monuments non the less) in Unleashed. So I think it's only fair Generations recieves a remake of one too, and for my choice I went with Aquatic Ruin as it adds some challenge but isn't as annoying as Labyrinth Zone or Marble Madness from Sonic 1.
14: Metropolis Zone (from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 1992)

For its difficulty, design, enemies and of course the awesome beating tune that will stay in your head forever I vote this giant industrial play ground of death lowest only because of those darn star shaped badniks, having said that they add to the challenge.
13: Egg Fleet (from Sonic Heroes 2003)

The only Sonic Heroes on my list, I'd love to see this stage in the anniversary just because I love the concept of Sonic destroying one flagship after another to get to Eggman. In all fairness to Heroes the game is made to use three game types at once and not one.
12: Green Forest (from Sonic Adventure 2 2001)

Ever since I saw the opening of Sonic Adventure I always wanted to see Sonic blast through a forest in high speed. Then this stage was added in SA2 and it easily became one of my favourite stages in the game. I know it’s an odd reason but it’s just a cool location to me.
11: Speed Highway (Sonic Adventure 1998)

Five words for this choice, Sonic running down a building. Sure he's run up and down walls in other titles but when he does it on this game it was such an awesome moment, and one of my favourite from playing Adventure. Plus Sonic running from highways to building tops just looks brill. Also I remember this stage being so fast to run through, add that to the new unleashed game engine and it will be epic.
10: Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog 2 1992)

Mainly for its funky tune and challenging water pits I have included this on the list, not to mention the brilliant location of a waste plant. An easy representation of Eggman’s influences on the world and another classic stage from Sonic 2.
9: Music Plant (Sonic Advance 2 2003)

I always have a firm believe that the best looking Sonic levels are the ones furthest from reality, and this by far wins that prize. It's colourful and musical, and offers even a slight challenge. The design being one of the main reasons I would like to see it in 3D.
8: Lava Reef Zone (Sonic & Knuckles 1994)

Explosive badniks hiding as rocks, Badniks that release a gas that slows you down and poisons you, giant badniks tearing away at the ground, add the lava and this level really heats things up. Really the 3rd lava based level in the Sonic series I count it as one of the best and thus is why I would like to see it in Sonic Anniversary.
7: Stardust Speedway (Sonic CD 1993)

Obviously it won't be able to be the original Stardust speedway but a similar level in which you basically have to out run Metal Sonic. I think an against the clock level dodging traps and enemies whilst also trying to keep ahead of Metal is a brill idea. Plus it was the only level where you actually fought the original Metal...in a sense. Perhaps it could be a special timed boss zone?
6: Spring Yard Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog 1991)

One of the strangest 2d stages it was full of pits and spikes and badniks, especially the evil Roller. And that’s why I'd like to see it in Anniversary for the challenge, also it will test a gamers timing if they including a section where you had to make sure Sonic didn't slow down and get hit by the pursuing Roller's and spiked balls.
5: Casino Night Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog 2 1992)

Of course how could I avoid this stage, the lights the music, the colours. All there and all so great. With a brilliant Vegas feel and slot machines that can dish out or eat up Rings this was one of the reasons I kept playing Sonic 2.
4: Sky Chase Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog 2 1992)

This was the other reason I kept playing Sonic 2, in fact one of my earliest memories was seeing Sonic standing on the Tornado. Perhaps having this stage be a part of the Egg fleet would be a better move though, having Sonic on the Tornado ion 2.5d and then when he leaps off to destroy another flagship it changes to 3d. Either way I would love to see this stage included in some form.
3: Star Light Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog 1991)

What’s not to love about this stage, the music is beautiful, the design is fantastic and it also felt like a reward for beating Labyrinth zone. By far one of my favourite video game stages.
2: Ice Cap Zone (Sonic The Hedgehog 3 1994)

Video game platforming dictates that all games should have water, fire and ice levels. And what better level to cool things down (I know terrible pun) then Ice Cap. Going back to my previous argument for Sky Chase it could include some new snowboarding moments in 2.5d.
1: Eggman Land (Sonic Unleashed 2008)

You may have noticed that this is the only unleashed stage on my list, and the reason is simple. Seeing as though anniversary is going to keep the controls close to Unleashes day stages it would be stupid to add a lot. However Eggman land needs to be in, especially as a final level for one very good reason. It's the perfect setting for the final confrontation. The death egg has been destroyed in game canon so that can't be used so only an area completely dominated and controlled by Eggman is the perfect place. Add more enemies, traps and pitfalls and you'll have one very happy me

Thats what I'd like to see, what about you guy's?
