As for me, I'm an Atheist. I don't believe in a maker or a god which I would say in turn has also made me have a highly positive outlook on life. That its for living in the moment. I still celebrate christmas but thats because over here in the UK Xmas is more about getting together with your family and friends and just having a great time then it is about Religion

Same as RY. I share some ideals with religions, but don't believe in any god(s). The Big Bang does it for me.

I'll trust the scientists with the Big Bang theory, theres a lot of evidence for it. But I dont think it really matters why we are here, WE are here and its the one shot we'll get. We should all just enjoy it and not worry

My belief in life after death. Is.

I believe in reincarnation that you die and come back as something or someone else.

I'm Catholic, so I believe in God and Jesus Crist and Virgin Mary. (I don't know how this goes in English, I only know the Spanish way i.e. every name in Spanish, that's how I did my first communion)

I do believe that someone is up there, watching over me.

But I also believe in reincarnation. I think it's possible. Maybe we get the chance to do over stuff. Maybe after I die, I'll be someone else. But if not, then maybe I'll be up in Heaven, watching over the ones I love ever so dearly.

Very Strong Christian here. I've been a Christian since I was 3, and I'm not saying that things like... the Big Bang didn't HAPPEN, I'm just saying(on that note) that there had to be an intelligence behind it all. I honestly don't believe in reincarnation, I believe that when you die you either go to heaven or the other place. I also believe that you aren't judged by how good you have been in your life, I mean, according to what I believe is completely true, God made us all, and he is sinless. He gets to make the rules. He's also a God of love, and some people may not think that, but I think of it as: he didn't HAVE to send Jesus.
Also, I never really UNDERSTOOD Atheism. I don't get how people start to think(and I'm not trying to be rude or anything) that something as complex as this world, and life could just... start to exist. I have heard some extremely good arguments for Atheists, but I have been taught some extremely accurate scientific facts that, to a lot of people I know, completely disprove it. But I would like some input on why people are Atheists.(this could get really interesting)

That's exactly the point against religion, Aqua. How could something just start to exist without reason? If a god did create the world, then where did he come from? There has to be a reason for his sudden appearance. The Big Bang, on the other hand, was by chance.

and on the other note... he was always there. Nobody could create him. Its hard for anybody to explain, especially since we are all so used to EVERYTHING having a beginning and an end. I don't ask those questions, because there is no need for me to be omniscient(all knowing). If I needed to know something like how always existing works, I'm sure I would know.

Nothing can last forever, Aqua. Everything must have a beginning and an end. I'm not arguing against you, but just trying to get my view across.

And so am I. He created the Universe, so whose to say that he CANT last forever. He just does. If you are right, I guess we'll all just sit in the ground, we will be fine. If I'm right... I don't want to think about what will happen. I would really rather not put things the way my Children's church teacher puts them(and that wasn't how[he puts things REALLY, REALLY harshly.]), but if you REALLY want to understand how I find it easy to believe what I believe, I might have to. Don't you want to hear a few Christians out before completely rejecting their beliefs?

I'm not rejecting beliefs. They're what make us all different. Who's to say that I'm right?

I'm not saying you are. i'm simply saying that if you believe in chance(I don't), then you also believe that there is a chance that people like me where right. I would honestly like to put it differently, but wouldn't you rather be safe than sorry?

No chance? We get one go to get things right... Sounds like life is one big risk to me.

Like I said, you aren't judged on works. I mean he sent his son to pay for sins that the world committed. I say that the least you could do is believe, since we could honestly never repay him for that. That's what you are judged on. What you did with his son, and a lot of people that I know, even some people who call themselves Christian, don't get.
